We provide expertise in R&D, product and process development, technical support and application of surface coatings, sealants and adhesives, for road, building, construction, sports and leisure industries.
Founded in 2013 by Ian Durant, a polymer scientist with more than 35 years’ experience, AID technologies are experts in development, manufacture and application of products and technologies.
Expertise.
Ian has a degree in Polymer Science and Technology and is a fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining, and the Oil and Colour Chemists Association.
He is the inventor of the world's first colour retro-reflective friction surfacing, winning the Prince Michael Safety Award, European Intertraffic Innovation Award and the Highways Magazine Innovation Award in 2004.
He is also a named inventor of four UK and International patents for the development, design and manufacture of a range of colour retro-reflective devices. He developed a hot-melt joint sealant for low temperature applications, which was the first to meet European Standard EN14188-1.
